Nyttårsforsett? Ehh..

Vekta i dag morges sa 122,5kg.

People are writing these summaries of 2020... So I'll jump on the bandwagon and try to do the same.

Around Christmas last year, I had two rounds of a stomach bug... And we discovered mold in our apartment. So the year didn't start out so well... 🙄 Norin was only 3 months old when 2020 started, and everyone were pretty tired of everything... :/

Then I got pneumonia. 😔 The doctor didn't believe me at first, called it bronchitis.. So I did job interviews and even flew across country with that cough! Once pneumonia was diagnosed, I had to go through two rounds of antibiotics to get rid of it. Didn't start to feel myself again until late February.... 😅

And you all know what happened in March: Covid-19 lockdown. John was working setting up the IT for the testing stations around town, so I had both kids at home alone. It was a lot of work, but we got into a routine after the first few days. And it made me start to carry the eldest in a wrap again, which was a good experience for both of us. :)

Throughout April we got the final puzzle pieces in place for the upcoming move to Trondheim in summer: We found an apparent to rent, and got the kids accepted into a local kindergarten. Work was already waiting for both of us.

In May I fulfilled a dream I've had for a few years: I took the Slingababy course to become a babywearing consultant. :D I participated in the first ever remote course. Following that course, I started VilOpp bæreveiledning .

June was spent packing in preparation for the move, and almost frantically meeting friends I knew I wouldn't see in a long time. Thank you Torfinn for a couple of great days at Huk and Torgeir for a few lovely days at your place. :) By late June, our eldest kid went on vacation with his aunt and her family, and several good friends helped us empty our apartment.

On the 1st of July we moved to Trondheim! Of course nothing went as smoothly as we'd planned 😅, but thanks to A LOT of help from my parents ( Torill and Arne ), and John spending two extra days driving back and forth to Trondheim, we got all of our things up from Oslo. :)

In August John started his new job (work practice, as part of his IT education), both kids started the new kindergarten, and by mid August my maternity leave was over. I started work at NAV Falkenborg.

In September, I went to the big regional babywearing meeting called Bartebært. We also took some fun family photos. :) The one included here, is also now hanging on our wall. :)

In October, my parents and brother came to Trondheim for a short visit. Norin also did his third covid-19 test... Lots of colds, one after another, is just a part of life when you have recently started kindergarten.

In November, we drove down to visit my parents for a weekend. That meant a lot of driving with two kids, but we got both down and back up again like we'd planned. :)

December has so far consisted of several job interviews. I'm hoping to land a permanent position, since I currently just have a temporary one. We celebrated Christmas with Torunn and Torgrim ( Berserk) and their parents, but for New Years Eve we'll be just us four.

So that's 2020, in one long summary. Well done if you've read all of this. :P An eventful year, to say the least, both in the world and in our personal lives. I'm hoping for peace and joy. I'm hoping for an end to social distancing, as large parts of the world get vaccinated against covid-19. For my part, I wish for many happy memories with John and our two kids. :) ❤️

Happy New Year to everyone!
